The sweet memory of the holy Trekking to Kudajadri  Hills
My son’s ( niveith s maheswaran) is introduced into the world of alphabets as he takes his first step into the world of knowledge . Initiation of knowledge, (Vidyarambham) at Sri Kollur Mookambika temple located in the state of Karnataka, is very famous and auspicious for this ceremony as the shrine is the abode of Goddess Saraswathi. The learning starts with writing the mantra "Om hari sri ganapataye namah", in which Hari refers to the Lord and Sri, to prosperity.
After that ceremony we had (my wife, son- two and half year - her mother and father and her 3 year old sister daughter) made trek to Kudajadri  which  is a mountain peak with dense forests (altitude - 1343 metres above sea level in the Western Ghats in South India (Shimoga Dist., Karnataka State). It is located at a distance of 21 km from Kollur and 15 km from Karaghatta (the place where the trekking starts). We have decided to reach Kudajadri by walking and we have started our journey around 9.00am from karaghatta r with luggage and two small children. We've reached Karaghatta by Bus ( Karaghatta is on the way to Shimoga from Kollur )

Around 1.00pm we've reached the Kudajadri hills four hour journey, that the place tills the point the jeep service comes. The 'moola mookambika' temple is there also some houses.
